Village of Neshkoro Police Chief Brendan Cutrell states his inspiration for the new police patch he designed:
“In collaboration with the history of the Village, a new police department patch design has been adopted. In the foreground is the well known Neshkoro Millpond, used for its many recreational activities. Following the water ‘upstream’ to the dam and bridge, which has a locomotive crossing it. Neshkoro saw its first train on the Chicago & North Western Rail come into town in 1905. The railway provided many business opportunities for the surrounding businesses and community members. Incorporated into the background is the Lily Pond Roller Mill, and its distinguished ‘water wheel’. Paying tribute to the Village’s history of its parks and love for the outdoors, is a sidewalk leading to the white Gazebo, where one could enjoy the beautiful sunset, as depicted.”
